SANROCCO
Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG
Ruchè is an indigenous Piedmontese grape variety, cultivated in the Monferrato region, probably imported from Burgundy by some Cistercian monks who planted it around the Benedictine church dedicated to San Rocco. Always considered a high quality wine, it is produced in small quantities. In the past it was intended for family consumption, reserved for great occasions and offered to the dearest people.
